The Cottage

Situated in Tilton on the Hill, just a short drive from Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Oakham, Uppingham and Leicester, 3 Halstead House Cottage is of elegant ironstone construction with superb views of up to 30 miles from a spacious garden.

The cottage has a Visit Britain 3 Star rating and sleeps 6 (plus 2 if sofa bed is used). There are two king-size double bedded rooms, a twin bedded room and a separate upstairs shower room, washbasin and toilet. There is a village shop and an attractive local pub less than a mile away, approximately 15 minutes walk. The cottage is located on a working farm, where there is a coarse fishing lake which visitors can use by arrangement. There are many good walks, a footpath runs through the farm, and at Rutland Water (10 miles away) there is excellent trout fishing as well as watersports, birdwatching and cycling.

The attractive local towns of Uppingham, Oakham, Market Harborough and Melton Mowbray are all within 20 minutes drive. Leicester is 12 miles away and Belvoir Castle and Burghley House are both less than 25 miles away.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 have king sized double beds, hanging space and chests of drawers.
Bedroom 3 is a twin bedded room with exceptional views over the countryside.
The sitting room has a double sofa bed and additional seating. There is a television with DVD player. There is an open fire with logs available.

The large dining kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine and a range of utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Downstairs there is a large eating kitchen, a dining room, a sitting room with a sofa bed and working open fire, hall and WC.

Sheets and towels are provided. Our prices are from £495.00 per week depending on the season. Shorter or longer stays are also possible. We have a no smoking policy. Dogs may be accommodated by arrangement.

A deposit of 20% is required to secure your booking. The balance will be required on arrival and any breakages to be paid for before departure. Bookings can be taken for a short stay as well as week stays. Arrival is after 2pm and the property must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
